“And they HEARD THE SOUND of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.” Genesis 3:9

about me….

PRACTICAL STUFF: I was born and raised in South Carolina, and have also lived in Michigan, North Carolina, and Alabama. I’ve been to school and earned a couple of degrees. I’ve served in various ministry capacities including church staff, as well as state and national level organizations, directed summer camps for children and teenagers, and also worked at one community fruit stand for two weeks. I’ve co-written a book for teenage girls. I’ve been through some training in coaching, Stephen Ministry, spiritual formation, and spiritual direction.

REAL LIFE STUFF: I love people and authentic conversations. Cooking is my therapy, although not necessarily less expensive than real therapy. A sunny, 62 degree day is my favorite. Best way to start the day is with a hot cup of coffee waiting and watching for the sun to rise. No better place to be than where there’s sand, sun, seafood, and the sound of the waves. My two favorite sounds in the world are children praying and children giggling. (Speaking of children—my nieces and nephews are some of the most amazing people I know. I learn so much from them.) Getting to walk alongside people through the stuff of life makes my heart glad. I struggle with surface conversations and I can’t eat green peas. I love to travel and explore new places, but unpacking once I get home is the worst. Capturing the perfect picture of people and nature is always a goal. I love my people, and I love helping others catch a glimpse of how much God loves them and wants to know them.

WAYS I AM AVAILABLE TO SERVE: If you’re looking for a retreat speaker, conference leader, Bible study teacher, someone to focus on spiritual practices, a leader for a spiritual conversation group, a Sunday morning preacher, a guest writer, or whatever else you can dream up, feel free to contact me to discuss what might be possible. I am currently pursuing a graduate certificate to serve as a spiritual director. Once I’ve completed my training, I look forward to walking with individuals along their spiritual journey.
